In this page we demonstrate how an unruly garden can be transformed into practical use for the whole family.
We shall start with "In the beginning"
|
One of the first major landscape projects began when asked to produce a "Japanese" style garden. After consulting peers and numerous books, we set about the design. Drawn roughly, sketched a draft then actually drawn in the garden, to give the full visuals. With the exception of wall and distant windows, it is hard to tell it is the same garden |
Our client was happy with the drafts and the work commenced: foundations, footings and post holes. Building driveways, fences, deck and paths. Finishing off with circle features, pergola and gravel. The whole job did take a while to complete, however, it was worth it and the client could benefit from a relaxing garden-room. |

We were recently asked back to a different client 2 years after finishing the rear garden (pictures either side).

Our project here was to develop the front. Given natural rocks and stones in the garden, we endeavoured to produce a thing of beauty.

Paths, tiers, blood and tears, to finish the winding steps. We look back with pride and being the second time with this customer, it was double pride!

Next up is a recent re-development. The task here is to produce a liveable garden, low maintenance, with colour, while keeping in with the surrounding architecture. Was it possible? Sure! |
||
The result - a path through the garden, eventually arriving at the destination of a patio. If you look closely you will see the area directly outside the door for early morning coffee. |

Not for the faint hearted, with this project, we asked the local skip company to "keep them coming", we filled 8 or 9 skips, each holding 8 ton. After such work, the levelling and laying is made easier. |

Monoblock laid 90 degree herringbone in brindle, charcoal edging and drive entrance. Annstone wall and coping including an arched step to boot. |

Sometimes we excel, totally removing any evidence of the previous garden. |

Finally a simple slab collage. Grass removed and replaced with "Textured" 2'x2' in random style |
